The Tiger King of Siam
Robert Smith
History records that King Suriyenthrabodi, the Tiger King of Siam, died from dring. There is, however, a fragment in the historic record that indicates a civil war. Driven from his homeland he is forced to make a living the only way he can, by fighting. One of the finest exponents of Muay Thai, he finds himself in the England of Queen Anne where he enters the fledgling fight scene, his Muay Thai style contrasting with the order of the day. The question asked throughout the book is; "Were you really the King of Siam?" The second part of the book answers that question. The book blends historical fact with historical fiction and introduces the reader to a period of history little written about, and a clash of cultures that both blend and contrast with each other.
