Ahmad Al-Khatat is one of my favorite poets! I have found no one else who is as masterful at building a poem about the most sad and disastrous circumstances, and yet frame it with such lovely phrasing, so that one is drawn to the poem again and again. May he long continue his magnificent constructions.
