Upon Awaiting Redemption
James D Richards
The poems of author James D. Richards, inspired by true life events, reveal his deep appreciation for beauty, remarkable capacity for self introspection, and painful regret over choices made and opportunities lost.
"Upon awaiting redemption, I often reminisce; these are the words and thoughts that come to mind ...
She loved me once.
Once she loved me.
Her eyes were open but could not see,
She loved me once she belonged to me.
I did not love her back or even treat her right.
Once she loved me, she did not love me twice."
