The Ancient's Gift

The combined star fleets of Earth and Aqua continue their almost twenty year fight against the alien race known as the Xones. The human fleets have never lost a battle against the Xones where each battle usually results in the elimination of all the enemy ships. The Xones have lost over 5,000 of their ships, while the allied fleets have only suffered minor damages.

The Xones star ships are all based upon those they captured from the Katz in the early days of their conflict. The Katz, another alien race friendly to the two human worlds, originally sought Earth's support and gave them a small starter star fleet. Admiral Eric Bloodworths tactics and the Earth's innovative redesign of the original star ships given to them by the Katz are responsible for their success against the Xones.

Captain Hanna Lundberg Bloodworth commands the battleship UES Hulk, flagship of the Earth's First Fleet and is the wife of Fleet Admiral Bloodworth who now commands First and Second Battle Fleet and Earth's Home Fleet. The Lundberg and Bloodworth bloodlines have strong leadership roles in the fight against the Xones, including the strange mystery regarding marriages between Aqua and Earth personnel.

In Earth's continuing efforts to find and destroy the Xones home system they encounter another human star system that they attempt to bring into the fight against the Xones. Eventually, their interaction with these new humans brings forth an even deeper mystery regarding personal interactions with them.
