Wrapped in Red
Alana I. Capria
A young woman's organs plot a slow and torturous cannibalization of her body. Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel poison their bodies with gardens worth of parsley while devouring their many princely suitors. Lilith and Eve usurp Adam's throne in Eden. An anthropomorphic uterus withers as it travels through a rotten landscape of spoiled deserts and collapsed streets. A woman makes a home in the confines of a small room while refusing to allow her spouse inside.
Throughout the stories in Wrapped in Red flesh starves and is consumed, reddens and collapses, all while clamoring through putrid forests and dilapidated factories. The bodies might be beautiful but that doesn't mean they aren't killers.
