The Sacred River

The Sacred River is a gripping and compelling political thriller that revolves around a post-independence African nation named Donyokeri.

The gods have conspired to bestow one Shujaa Juma, who has the admiration of the entire community in which he lives, the onerous task of helping liberate the country led by an autocratic ruler, named Sonkoh.

It is a tale of intrigues of murder, love and betrayal. Yet as another protagonist shows, it need not all be in vain.

Forced to travel to a remote part of the country following political unrest and massacre, Waciuri meets a religious leader who changes his life irreversibly.

They trek through the African wilderness with the religious old man and Waciuri is guided by the old man's wisdom to realize his dream and have a clear purpose in life.

Their three lives intersect as the political drama climaxes eventually managing to bring positive change amidst chaos and disorder in Donyokeri.
