Every organisation is now involved in managing change. And many businesses will be running one or more programmes or initiatives designed to bring about significant changes in the way the organisation is structured, serves its customers, handles core business processes, uses teams, rewards employees, etc. This audit is designed for organisations with or without an organisational change initiative in place. Its 5 steps take you through the following stages: 1. Understand and measure the pressures for change in your organisation. First review the pressures you face from · technology · competitors · customers · the business and general environment · stakeholders · demographics · economics. Then use the 40-point Drivers of Change questionnaire to identify change priorities and problems that your change initiative may face. 2. Create a vision statement for change in your organisation. Consider the types of change to be addressed, and use the Organisational Vision audit and worksheet to check that it is realistic and workable. 3. Create a strategy for communicating the vision across your business. Use the checklist to ensure you have covered all the key points. 4. Overcome resistance to change. Use the worksheets and 40-part Strategist Questionnaire and profile grid to assess techniques for countering resistance. 5. Implement the change programme. (This step offers five different techniques - decide which would work best in your situation).
