Goodbye, Ukulele
Leigh Nash
Leigh Nash?s first full-length poetry collection is jammed with surprises and conundrums: lovesick whales, a mermaid Virgin Mary, pumpkins tossed from windows?a litany of strange and striking questions. The poems in Goodbye, Ukulele layer stark images that yield truths, lies, and what glimmers between. Blending crisp language, an often humorous absurdity, and a lush darkness, Nash?s poems evoke ?Silver thick with years of tarnish. A bloody heart with one bite missing.? Turn any page in this book and you?re somewhere new. Map not included.
