Marc Notes: The purpose of this work is to offer an in-depth analysis of Hosea's message on justice. It is argued that the traditional characterisation of the classical prophets (Amos, Micah, and Isaiah) as prophets of justice as opposed to Hosea as a prophet of love is a misrepresentation. In order to establish Hosea's sense of justice, this study analyses the biblical concept of justice and secular notions of justice. In so doing, it has observed that the ultimate concern of justice in both the secular sphere and the biblical understanding is justice in relationship.
