Saul of Solway

The story of Saul. A Glaswegian in his early fifties, living a life that is wasting and drifting without purpose, though he conceals this from many beneath an uproarious personality. He has a curious fascination for attending meetings -of very many kinds. On his way to one meeting he has a strange experience in which he seems to see his doppelganger in a Glasgow Street, and becomes preoccupied with investigating this. He persuades John to help him. The investigation takes him down new roads -not to Damascus, but to a discovery that could not have been foreseen.
