Maggie Richardson
Maggie Richardson is a Kiwi-born Australian with a love of the written word. Her work has been seen in newspapers, anthologies and the Australia Women's Weekly(1983) . In 1992 she Self-published a small poetry book - 'The Dance Goes On' which was followed a few years later with her text book for new business - 'Starting a Business in Australia ' (2000). This was then republished two years later.(2002) Most copies went to business students at TAFE where Maggie was teaching. Based on 'Starting a Business in Australia' Maggie gained a contract with 'New England Publishers' (Frenches Forest- Sydney Australia) to write ' Starting and Surviving in Business in Australia' . (2005) Both books were available through the Australian Small Business Centre which Maggie formed in 2000. Neither is still in print although the latter one is available in most libraries.
By 2010 Maggie had met the inimitable Ross Hutchison and was asked to write his biography. The Outcome was the book The Sky is NOT the Limit - Talent is only the beginning. (2015) With his acceptance of a nomination for Order of Australia Medal in February 2020 . an updated edition will be available. It will be named The Sky is not the Limit. Talent is only the Beginning - Second Edition.
This, her second poetry book, Whisperings of the Soul is a collection of very short and medium length poems written over the years of 1990 to 2020. It is time now to find your favourite. She would be happy to know which ones touch you.
Yes she is working on her next treatise which will carry the name of 'My Little Yellow Bucket' It will be a collection of short stories and maybe a few poems.
