Mitzi: And the Summer of the Dogs
Clarice Rutherford
Annica was looking forward to the best summer ever. She was getting a puppy! When Uncle Charlie got sick, her family had to take in his mixed-breed dog, Mitzi, and Annica was heartbroken that she couldn't get her puppy. Then her friend Brecc got a golden fluffball puppy just like the one Annica had wanted. Her friend, Dovie, rescued a cute dog she named Sweetie Pie. The summer was filled with adventures and near-disasters, mostly instigated by the escape artist, Mitzi. As the summer progresses, Annica and Mitzi begin to understand each other. Could Mitzi really teach Annica how to understand a dog's feelings?
