The Outlaw:


After being framed and stripped of his title, Sir Jacob Quincey vows revenge on the High Sheriff of Durham who ruined his life and stole his lover. The last thing she wants is to marry a man who will make her act like a lady and force her to put down her blade. She had hoped to use her skill with weapons to bring about a change for good, being in the queen's secret society of strong women. But now she's been sent away against her will. When she meets the High Sheriff, Maira despises him but her heart goes out to the man's young son, and she decides to stay to be the boy's mother.


Before she has a chance to marry, she meets an outlaw in the forest named Jacob Quincey. Jacob turns out to be everything she's been looking for in a man and she finds herself attracted to him. He even wants her to fight with him - but against the man she is about to marry. Jacob can give her what she's always wanted - freedom to do as she pleases. But in order to gain it, she will have to lose someone who has become dear to her heart.
