Many NPOs and CBOs have great ideas of what needs to be done within their communities in order to address some of the ills that beset them. In many cases, the heart, the desire and the willingness are abundantly available within the communities. Real challenges are experienced when it comes to the technical and other capacities to deliver on those ideal goals and aspirations. Whether it be writing project proposals to mobilising resources, maintaining financial and other records as dictated by donors or attracting the requisite talent and human capital, the NPO sector lacks in more ways than one.
