Living The Dream On G Wing

This fictional story about prison, features the high's and lows of the daily routine of prison officers, as they work in a confined, secure establishment. The sometimes lighthearted situations and comedic events only mask the dangers the officers face as they enter the gateway into a mysterious and unpredictable place. The story is told through the eyes of a raw recruit, as she finds her way through her probation and any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental. Each new day resounds in the steadfast comradeship found behind the walls of HMP Scupton and demonstrates the extraordinary affiliation between the officers, the individuals they are responsible for and others they may have to work with. The humour, although dark and comedic, transcends the diversity of the job and the challenges and colourful moments that are apparent within a secure environment, that very few will experience.
