Cynthia Gadson, born in Progress Village, which is in Tampa, Florida on March 24, 1963. The seventh child of ten children of her parents Mr. Edward Joseph Gadson and Mrs. Jessie Mae Gadson. Ms. Gadson has two sons, Marcus and Maurice Lindsey and four grandchildren. Sadari, Quinten, and Jamel Lindsey from Marcus and Maubri Lindsey from Maurice. Maurice is the Illustrator of Ms. Gadson's five published books - MOM HAD A PROBLEM, DAD HAD ISSUES, SHOW ME! TEACH ME! GUIDE ME!
