The Falcon and the Prince

The Falcon and the Prince is, first of all, a fabulous look at the power of magic. Our young falcon, who roosted for the night on a windowsill of a fine residence on the edge of a town in the south of Ireland, is suddenly awakened by the terrible crying of a young miss. He knows he will get no sleep if that keeps up, so he tries to find out what the matter could be, causing her wailing. The young lass is very startled, to be sure, that a bird is talking to her. But she soon learns that he isn't just any ordinary bird, and he insists that once he knows what is causing her fitful crying, he can come up with a very satisfying solution. What ensues is a very surprising turn of events, leaving the reader and their young listener with mouths agape in wonder and hearts filled with joy.
