Educational Psychology

The sub-field of psychology that is concerned with the study of learning in humans is known as educational psychology. It focuses on studying the processes of learning through behavioural, constructivist, developmental and cognitive perspectives. It tries to understand the differences in individuals with respect to cognitive development, affect, motivation, conceptual processes, intelligence and self-concept. The basis of this field can be found in theories of structuralism, operant conditioning, humanistic psychology, functionalism and information processing.
