Cynthia Gadson, a native of Tampa, Florida. The eighth child born to the (late) Mr. Ed Joseph Gadson and Mrs. Jessie Mae Gadson. Ms. Gadson has two sons, Marcus and Maurice Lindsey, and four grandchildren, Sadari Quinten, Jamel, and Maubri Lindsey. Ms. Gadson is the author of five published children's books entitled, MOM HAD A PROBLEM, DAD HAD ISSUES, SHOW ME! TEACH ME! GUIDE ME! Poetry through a Child's Perspective, BIG BULLY BOB, and A CALL FOR CHARACTER.




Ms. Gadson served in the United States Army from 1983-1988, earning an honorable discharge.




Ms. Gadson's church affiliation rooted from The First Baptist Church of Progress Village but is currently fellowshipping and worshipping as a member of Wilcox Memorial Church of God in Christ.




Ms. Gadson has a master's degree in Special Education and certified in Elementary Education. Ms. Gadson has a Specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development, completed coursework through the Doctoral Program at Walden University for Educational Leadership and is currently an elementary school educator and has been teaching for over 26 years.




Ms. Gadson has been awarded honors throughout her teaching career as an Ida S. Baker recipient four times and once Teacher of the Year during her years of teaching for Hillsborough County Schools.




Ms. Gadson enjoys using her books as a Read Aloud, Book Signings, Anti-Bullying Presentations, Community Events, Literary Events, and other venues that supports children's growth and well-being. Ms. Gadson is a member of the Society of Children's Books Writer an Illustrators (SCBWI), and International professional organization for authors and illustrators of books for children and young adults.
