The Friends in North Hills; Tidbits: Short Paragraphs in Social Study and Humor
Williams A O
This book was conceived as a satirical piece for adolescents, a means of teaching morals, ethics, dignity in labor and social etiquette. It started as short stories written for a church house journal from the year 2007 to 2010, arranged with additional written pieces to make a collection of tidbits in this new publication.
Each paragraph teaches a lesson on social conduct, decency in demeanor and social norm; Story characters are portrayed in patterns of behavior not uncommon in human society.
The lessons in the paragraphs include a commendation, a critique, or an observation peculiar to social study; Sub themes such as kindness, quietness, courage, diligence and patience are exaggerated deliberately to reinforce the purpose of this publication.
A short quiz at the end of the book supports reflective thinking on the stories and characters to refresh the reader's memory of the funny four letter names, the exception being Ernee the Ostrich who has a five letter name.
Hope you enjoy reading this collection of stories as much as I have enjoyed knitting them together! Thank you.
