Worship as a Lifestyle
Timothy Mckeithen
This book explains what worship is and how it is practiced in both the personal and congregational life of the Christian. It contains a study of the principles of worship in the Old and New Testaments, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit teaching us to be worshipers. It defines the characteristics of worship that please God and how it should become a priority in our daily lives and of our holistic stewardship of life. It also includes a guide to plan different worship programs for the congregation according to the occasion (baptism, the Lord's Supper, among others). Finally, it explains how worship assumes its own characteristics in each culture and also how the church of Christ is called to live incarnationally in the culture, according to the principles and values of the Kingdom of God.
The book contains eight group lessons appropriate for youth and adults. Each lesson includes personal life application activities that can be put into practice in the ministries of the local church.
This book is part of the School of Leadership series comprised of five basic books. Additionally, there are six books for each of the ministry specialties.
