Afterward, Will is recruited to repair the damage caused by an impact and penetration to the International Space Station. A mishap during the mission isolates Will in open space and results in a mental breakdown. Following his recovery, Will has his first encounter with the entity that sets the stage for book four of this five-book series that explores how humans might react to a superior being.
