Thanksgiving with the Lumpkins
Rhonda Boone Evans
Five-year-old Johnny Lumpkin invites his new friend, Rodney, and his mother to Thanksgiving dinner with him and his family. During dinner, Johnny's parents surprise Rodney and his mom with a life-changing offer. This story was inspired by the author's experience with children who live in shelters, with or without parents. She wishes to make children aware of these kinds of situations and to be kind and helpful to those in need. Rhonda Boone Evans is a special needs preschool paraprofessional who is working on her Education degree. She plans to continue the Johnny Lumpkin series as well as other children's and adult books. Rhonda currently resides in Marietta, Georgia.
