This action-packed war novel is set during the Second World War. It begins with the dramatic meeting of RCAF Pilot Officer Samuel LeBlanc and Susan, a young woman who, in only a few minutes, captures his heart for a lifetime. Because of Susan's unstable and abusive older sister, Hilda, the meeting is a violent one. Circumstances force these three unique characters to part and each experiences their separate struggle before they meet again. Sam is shot down over France and rescued by the French Resistance. Because of his ability to speak the language, he is recruited to help set up an escape route for downed airmen as the secret agent, 'Green Eyes'. At home, Susan awaits the birth of their child and Hilda's sanity is tested when she is forced to deal with her mother's lover. 'Green Eyes' is a story of the destructive powers of hate, insanity, abuse and murder and of the redeeming power of love.
