Contributor Bio: Garrett, LeRoy Leroy Garrett, Ph. D. currently lives in active retirement in Denton, Texas. After graduating from Abilene Christian University and Princeton Seminary, he earned his Ph. D. from Harvard University. He has taught philosophy, history and religion at several colleges, including Bethany, Texas Women's University, and Dallas Christian College. He also edited Restoration Review for forty years, which circulated widely throughout the Restoration Movement. He has lectured at colleges and churches of all three traditions of the Movement and has served on executive committee of both the World Convention of Churches of Christ and European Evangelistic Society. In 1993, he received the Distinguished Christian Service Award from Pepperdine University.
