Contributor Bio:  Gilbert, Allison Allison Gilbert is a producer of CNN's American Morning with Paula Zahn and Soledad O'Brien. A three-time Emmy Award-winning investigative producer, she has produced special projects for NBC News and WABC-TV in New York, worked as an investigative producer with WNBC-TV, and also helped launch MSNBC as a writer and special-assignments producer. She has also written numerous articles for newspapers and magazines and most recently coedited the book Covering Catastrophe: Broadcast Journalists Report September 11. She lives in New York with her husband, Mark, and their two children. Contributor Bio:  Walensky, Robyn Robyn Walensky is a veteran news reporter and anchor who has been covering crime, terrorism, politics, and breaking news for more than twenty years in both radio and television. She was in two terrorist attacks, and reported extensively on the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, the federal trial of the WTC 93 Plotters, and September 11th. She is co-editor/author of the book Covering Catastrophe-Broadcast Journalists Report 9-11-01. Walensky has a BA in journalism and political science from the George Washington University and an MA in journalism from New York University. She is a graduate of The Institute on Political Journalism at Georgetown University. She has taught Journalism courses at Tulane University in the classroom and online. Most recently, Walensky was the morning drive reporter covering the Casey Anthony Trial for WDBO Radio in Orlando, Florida, and a frequent guest on CNN's Nancy Grace Show. Walensky was the first female morning drive co-host on Rush Radio WRNO 99.5 FM in New Orleans. While at WGNO-TV in New Orleans she reported extensively on the Gulf oil spill and the run-up to the Saints winning their first Super Bowl. Walensky was a national correspondent and anchor for Fox News Radio, covering the JonBenet Ramsey case, the deaths of Anna Nicole Smith and her son in the Bahamas, the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba, OJ Simpson's arrest and trial in Las Vegas, and countless other crime and terrorism stories such as the shooting at VA Tech, and the Fort Dix 6. Earlier in her career, she also reported for AP Radio, WWOR-TV, and 1010 WINS Radio in New York. Walensky was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and went to Millburn Senior High School. Currently Walensky works for Mercury Radio Arts. Prof. Stephens has written on journalism and media for the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Columbia Journalism Review and many other publications. He has been a commentator for Marketplace and On the Media on public radio and has worked for NBC News.
