Win Jacobs
"A rare account from a tribal elder," is how reviewer Kevin McIlvoy sums up this volume of recollection. A woman of her changing times, Win Jacobs remembers the varieties of expectation, morality, and joy she encountered as she grew from pigtailed darling in a man's world to womanhood in a society offering undreamed of options--some welcome, others not. Ms. Jacobs refers to her story as "some of the threads that have not snapped in my 80 years."
