The Devil's Workshop. It is apparently 1889, a year after the Ripper killings, and the streets of Liverpool are filled with filth and fortune. A maleficent group is using the streets as a stage and backdrop for their depraved craft, but they require audience participation. Inspector Gabriel Pilgrim of C division is plunged into a discombobulating world of death, art and libertine values, and is forced to reassess his reality. Who are the nefarious Dr. Lipsius, the three impostors and Seppius Bone? A race against insanity ensues on the streets of Liverpool as Inspector Pilgrim is driven deeper and deeper into madness, lost in a labyrinth of illusion from which he cannot escape; he becomes trapped in the Devil's Workshop.
