River of Dreams

Raw and untamed, "River of Dreams" depicts the greed and lust of American miners, as they fight each other and treacherous Indian savages, in a deadly quest to extract rare emeralds from croc-infested jungle rivers in Guyana. Three executives from 'Equatorial Mining' leave Miami and fly to Guyana, hoping they can recover the rare and very valuable emeralds, so they can rescue their faltering mining operation from bankruptcy. When they enter the tangled web of jungle green in search of a fortune, each is eliminate, one-by-one, without warning and without mercy by a silent unknown jungle killer. The characters in this exciting mystery are unforgettable. K. C., a rough-talking, cigar-chewing, helicopter pilot, who happens to be a gorgeous female, can handle herself in the jungle with the best of them. But even she doesn't understand what can happen to all her plans, when evil lurks behind every tree. Mike and Joe, the two educated mining executives, who run 'Equatorial Mining', have a plan to extract emeralds and save their company. But when everything's on the line, they don't have a plan to save their own skins. And then there's Dirk and Snake, two vicious jungle psycho's, who love the death they know exists just beyond the veil of green, until they come face-to-face with their own horrifying demise and can't do anything about it! Horsey, the huge pock-faced South American pimp vows to kill Dirk for causing two of his most desirable girls, Banji and Rabbit, to run off and take up with the American miners. But when Horsey chases Dirk into the jungle to seek his revenge, he becomes just another victim to the sadistic unknown killer that no one suspects, but lurks waiting for another victim. Pauline, head of 'Equatorial Mining' wants to recover the precious stones and plays the roll of a harmless university professor. But in the end proves to be the most cunning and deadly enemy of all. And then there's the friendly Amerindian boy, Chico, who comes out of the jungle to work for the American miners, but finds himself in bed with evil people who also have very evil intentions. Only by using his cunning jungle skills can he escape, not only with his life, but in an unusual twist of fate, with the answer to all his dreams.
