This story is classified as Historical Fiction, however, most of the places, people and events are true. This story takes place in Olongapo City in the Philippines in 1968 during the TET offensive. Olongapo had several nick names, such as 'Dodge City', Sin City... There actually was a 'One arm Monkey' that begged for food, the American Legion still serves as a Post Office and a bar. Most of the names have been changed to protect the innocent and out of respect for the dead.
