The third annual Savannah Anthology Writing Contest has been an adrenalin-charged adventure for members of the Savannah Anthology committee. While we cannot publish everything that comes our way, we are pleased to give recognition to Southern writers in a way that was previously unavailable. As we've shared before, the idea for the anthology was born out of frustration with the traditional publishing world. We decided to put together an anthology - a blind contest - through which a Southern writer could submit his or her work for review, with publication granted to the winners. Thus was born our Savannah Authors Anthology 2014. For the Savannah Anthology 2015 we expanded entry eligibility to all states bordering Georgia (Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee) and published works penned by both new and seasoned authors from the eligible states. In Savannah Anthology 2016 readers will discover stories ranging from breaking hearts to raising grandchildren, from murder to a revival and much more. All in all, this is a wonderful collection of stories by talented Southern writers. Once again we say: If you can't live in the South, this is the next best thing to it.
