The 2nd Swift Generations novel, this one featuring Tom Swift (the one referred to as Tom Jr.). A rogue planet enters the solar system, and Tom Swift Jr. begins to investigate. Early on it is determined that the planet is possibly inhabited by intelligent life. Not only that, but it is broadcasting signals which affect the minds of many people on Earth. Tom decides to become involved with a Japanese attempt to reach the new world before it continues on into space. Upon arrival the expedition quickly learns that there's literally more to the planet than what's on the surface. The discoveries encountered bring along entirely new mysteries, as well as the possibility of access to a technology far beyond Tom's wildest dreams.
