What would you do if you knew that everything in your world was going to change in a matter of days? What if there would be no more electricity, no more running water, no more computers, or cars, or televisions or anything we think of as part of the today's world? What if your dad was in an accident and just that quickly you were totally responsible for the care and feeding of your family? What would you do? This is exactly the world that Alexander Blake faced. He chose to keep a journal. "I am Alexander Blake and I live at the corner of Main and South Pine Drive, Loudonville, Ohio. My father is a foreman at Gorman Rupp in Mansfield, Ohio. They make all kinds of pumps. Mother is a stay-at-home Mom and is the best cook around. I have a sixteen year old sister, Susan, and a three year old brother, Chris. I am almost fourteen. I am starting this journal to record the end of the world." Red Mountain Ghost is Alex's journal. It takes place a few years from now and shows Alex's struggle to survive and stay loyal to his family and true to himself. His dad wants to be a farmer. Alex wants to be a hunter. The ghost of Mohican State Park helps him find his way.
