For three weeks after Justin's near death experience intern Mira Johnson and Chief Pediatric surgeon Dr Alexis Cruz enjoyed their new found romance. For Alexis, it was a breath of fresh air and for Mira it was dream come true to be with the woman she had eyed since the day Alexis started working at Salt Lake Memorial. There was only one problem- Alexis ex-girlfriend Kiera, who was now hell bent on getting her back. When Mira overhears an argument between the two, and the fact that Alexis does not recognize their relationship at work, she decides that maybe it is time for some distance between the two. It doesn't help that on that same day Alexis is sent away on a four day conference trip.
