Mark has a technically astute group of friends and moved into a new house. Mark considers the video game worlds he designs more like another 'thread' in the multi-verse, another world for the player to explore. Technology and extraordinary are about to mix as Mark fights to discover who and why mysterious thieves are harassing and making off with not merely things but people as well. His new contract boss is apparently connected to them and is possibly conspiring with them. Will he disappear with them? Not all of Mark's friends exist in his 'thread' of the multi-verse making them not always the easiest to contact. Inter-dimensional activity and environmental energies seem to be everywhere including the dreamscape allowing for all sorts of possibilities.
