Henry Stanley was a British journalist and African explorer. He is famous for uttering the words "Dr Livingstone I presume" although it is not sure whether this is actually true. David Livingstone was born in 1813. He was a Scottish Presbyterian medical missionary. He was known for his exploration of central Africa. Livingstone was the first European to see Queen Victoria. Falls. As one of the most popular heroes in Victorian England, Livingstone "rags to riches" story", his daring exploration, and his strong anti-slavery stance made him the source of legend. His fame as an explorer helped drive the obsession to find the source of the Nile. His disappearance and death in Africa led to the founding of several African Christian missions. This work is the account of Stanley's trip to Africa in search of Livingstone.
