Abraham Cahan
Abraham "Abe" Cahan (1860-1951) was a Lithuanian-born American socialist newspaper editor, novelist, and politician. His novels and short stories were well received and depicted the life of the so-called "ghetto," where he lived and worked for more than 20 years.
