Someone Watching Over Me is the coming of age story of Alexsa Love, a young girl raised in a very religious family. Christian and Pentecostal doctrines are her spiritual roots but her everyday realities at a rowdy school dealing with mischievous classmates, and living a world filled with hypocrisy contradict the teachings in church. She soon realizes life's temptations are confusing and extremely difficult to resist as she constantly battles a moral war between right and wrong. The setting begins in Kansas City, Kansas until Alexsa breaks the heart of her first love and her guilty conscience sends her high-tailing to Wichita, Kansas where she meets new friends. Her life begins to spiral out of control as she makes very bad decisions beginning with a harmless marijuana habit and an uncontrollable physical desire to be with two men who are friends. She is soon entangled in a web of destructiveness that includes juggling two relationships, promiscuity, deceit, drugs, betrayal, and even murder. Alexsa finds herself in a do-or-die situation as she comes face-to-face with the reality of her mistakes. Does Alexsa have the intestinal fortitude to pick herself up from the pits of despair? Is her religious conviction enough to set her on the path to redemption? Read the story of Alexsa Love as she struggles with temptation and encounters many of life's trials and tribulations.
