Jane Goodwin Austin
Jane nee Goodwin Austin (1831-1894) was an American novelist and short story writer. Many of her works were historical in nature and were renowned for their accuracy. Standish of Standish (1889) was reprinted 28 times and was made into a play in 1919. She was associated with many of her contemporary authors, politicians and historians. Her works include: Dora Darling (1865), Outpost (1867), Cipher (1869), The Shadow of Moloch Mountain (1870), Nameless Nobleman (1881) and Betty Alden (1891).
