Howard Carter (1874–1939) was an English archaeologist, renowned for discovering the tomb of Tutankhamun. Originally published between 1923 and 1933, this three-volume study contains Carter's account of the sensational discovery, excavation and clearance of the tomb. Volume 2 describes the opening of the triple coffin, and Tutankhamun's mummy.
