Tepee Trails

There is no study so profound as the study of man. There is no story so thrilling as the story of a dedicated life. There is no way into the heart of the missionary movement so illuminating as the lives of the missionaries themselves.

This book is the story of a man who, for thirty-five years, has given his life to the task of "putting the Indian's feet in the Jesus road." He has endured hardships, encountered dangers, suffered privations, and made sacrifices as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Let us travel with Brother Phelps on these tepee trails. Let us live with him in his silent camps under the trees, suffer hardships with him, rejoice with him, love and long with him, and pour out our souls with him as he pours out his soul for the salvation of the red men.

We will come to know, as we study this book, that missions are an experience of grace and not simply a task of the church.
