Nykki lost her true love to death two years ago. Then she saw him walking down the street. Soon, others begin to see him, too. But what do these visions mean? And what should they do to try to make sense of them? Missing tracks the lives of a group of artists who begin to experience visions of a dead friend. Each chapter tells the story of these encounters from the perspective of different members of the group. These stories consider what it would really be like to experience a vision of life after death. These stories convey the pain of moving on after tragedy mixed with the longing to see again those that we love.
