The Little Pond

Little Pond delighted in sharing her treasured gifts with the little boys and girls who came to fish and swim in her deep waters. She took great pleasure in letting their gray-haired grandparents stroll hand-in-hand along her grassy green banks as they smilingly took in her sparkling beauty. Life was fulfilling until summer's witheringly hot days began to take a toll on her and people began to visit less and less often-until nobody came to see her-ever. It was a very sad and lonely day when Little Pond realized that her once shimmering waters had slowly receded and her little fish had become tiny white skeletons caked into her exposed clay banks. Her heart became deeply saddened because she could no longer offer her lovely gifts to the wonderful people who used to come to see her. Eventually, she simply shut her eyes and closed out the emptiness of who she had become. This is the beginning of Little Pond's journey from who she was to who she is meant to be. Feel her pain and frustration as all that she knows is taken away and she feels as though she is left with nothing but an empty shell of a heart. Go on a journey of growth with her as she begins to understand her Creator's ways and starts to see her Master's wonderful plans for who she is and who she can be. This Christian allegory will touch your heart as you live through Little Pond's death, surrender, growth, and eventual fulfillment as she gives up her limited insights into who she thinks she is and realizes the vision that the great Creator had for her all along.
