Ancestors of Sharon Kay Pugh-Matthews

Originating in Neosha, Missouri the Pugh Ancestry traces back to England, Wales, Scotland and the home of King Arthur (featured on the cover) on one side, and Ireland and Germany on the other. Names such as Pugh, Minton, Crocker, Wright, Hedrick, Mathes, Keithley and Clevenger extend back as far as Henry Ist, Knights of the Crusades and Knights Templars. Many of the early pioneers to America were Quakers seeking religious freedom and the family soon stretched across the Americas as far as Texas, Missouri and California. Along the way they participated in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the War of 1812, WW1 and WW2 and the Vietnam War. A family to be proud of, enjoy the journey as you explore their roots.
