Pledges of Honor

The suicide of Makri, a simple village healer from a seemingly insignificant town near the Keldaran border, sweeps Katerin, a wandering healer with a mysterious past, into the political intrigues of Gods and humans. As Katerin strives to understand why the village of Wickmasa is so important, she uncovers a plan to restore Rekaré, the daughter of a deposed leader, to power and unexpectedly discovers things about her own destiny. She also finds a potential ally in Makri's dangerous twin Metkyi. Can Katerin forge an alliance with Metkyi, come to terms with the fate that cursed her famous mother to the endless sleep and may yet catch Katerin in the same doom, and help Rekaré win back the leadership of Medvara?
