The Brown and the Blue is a thriller exploring the issues of development in the small African country of Malawi. The two main characters Zoe and Mawenda, witness an assassination for which they are blamed. This is during a time of extreme political tension. They have to flee, criss-crossing a parched country, avoiding road-blocks, making new friends and cementing their own friendship. The goal is the British High Commission in the capitol city. But while this is sanctuary for Zoe, is it for Mawenda?
