The Lord's Bit M.a. Moone 1. vydanie

Broke, bitter and hard to get along with, Leona Larsen has few friends left. Only the Anderson family has stuck by her and watched sadly as she lost nearly everything dear to her except the family farm. Now, they have learned that it is in danger of being lost as well. On her farm is "The Lord's Bit," a worthless, rocky patch of ground. Worthless, that is, to everyone except a mysterious stranger. With twists, turns and many surprises, out of great tragedy comes a blending of strong, grounded characters whose lives weave together into an extended family that, thanks to Leona's meddling, might keep growing. Praise for the "Lord's Bit:" An intimacy exists from beginning to end in "The Lord's Bit" that pulls the reader in close and holds her in the rocks, scents, skies of the high desert and into the lives of people scraping, stumbling, and loving in ways that match the beauty and ruggedness of the landscape. Elizabeth Quinn-Editor, High Desert Journal I have just enjoyed a refresher course in humanity. M. A. Moone writes engagingly of deeply rooted people who know how to handle hardship and thrive by living the "Golden Rule." I found myself reluctant to turn the last page.
