A Puzzled Existence: a 60 Year Autobiographical Portrait by the Artist 1st edition

This book is an autobiography by the artist, JASON. He established Alchemy Studio, Inc in 1970, a few months after returning from combat in Vietnam. Within a week, he sold two metal sculptures, which placed him on the path of professional artist; he has followed this path without any deviation for over 42 years.
In 2012, his career was recognized by the prestigious, international organization, Worldwide Who's Who, honoring Jason with the distinction of "Professional of the Year in Fine Art," a fitting accomplishment that quantifies Jason's unwavering dedication to his work.
At eight years old, Jason began the labors of men at the hands of an angry, coal miner father. This harsh reality was tempered by his highly-educated mother who used her "egg money" to send Jason once a week for study in charcoal techniques under Nicolo Cortiliga, a well-known portrait artist whose work now hangs in the Smithsonian Museum.Jason was born in abject poverty; he and his three brothers shared an out house with a Sears & Roebuck Catalog as tissue paper, an outside well pump and regular beratings and beatings from his father. At the age of 12, running water was finally installed inside the house.A PUZZLED EXISTENCE covers four complete generational eras from 1950 to 2010 in exact detail. This book was written as a fine art composition is painted, using words to recreate facts that provide the color to one man's life.
Jason incorporates a unique approach to the traditional genre of autobiographies. His writing consists of vignettes to relate stories with "flash back" indices that bring the subjects into focus. The stories are of his life traveling throughout the world, working in strange positions to earn money for both art work and college tuition. He served with the Navy's "Riverine Forces" on the Mekong River and Delta, a place where life expectancy was measured in days. Using Dante's Inferno and the 7TH level, Jason devised the concept of the "Frozen Soul," which allows one to kill someone, then sit back and eat cashews, complaining about the salt. This book chronicles all of the experiences which make this man's life worthy of print. His life was lived as several men, always large and fast, from racing cars, to pool sharking, flying airplanes, hanging from trees as a nude model, barking in the Carnival, being an undertaker in Australia and love. In 1970, Jason saw a woman and experienced something he could not identify; over 14 years passed before he was introduced to this same person, by then he knew what the feeling was: love! It is all there between the covers of A PUZZLED EXISTENCE. This reality reads like a novel, a volume you may consider for your private collection because it will impact your life! That is a promise!
