1015: a Tale of Vulnerability and Hope
David Gray
The goal of this effort is to provide hope in meeting vulnerability with trust. The themes of 1015 and 915 come from my realization that 1015 is a symbol of vulnerability for me. It would have been around 10:15 am on September 11 when Flight 93 would have hit Capitol Hill, and it was at 10:15 am on October 15 (10/15) that the anthrax attacks began on Capitol Hill. 915 represents scriptural verses from Genesis and Psalms that stand for trust and hope for me. The ending poem is a midrash, or a conversation, with Genesis 9:8-17 and the symbol of the rainbow is an example of God's covenant with humankind.
