Golden Balls

Bigas Luna's kitschy romp stars Javier Bardem as Benito, a conceited stud who wants to erect a skyscaper in his own honour. In order to achieve his ridiculously macho goal, he marries Marta (Maria de Medeiros), the daughter of a wealthy banker, but also keeps a mistress (Maribel Verdu) as well. When the two women see through his shallow plans, it looks like Benito may not have any more assistance with his erection. The film also features an early screen appearance by Benicio Del Toro.
